Not quiet the words to the song by Frankie
Valli, but what a night it was at the Hangar
Dance. It took me back to my days in the Fleet
Air Arm. When we started to put the idea
together I never imagined it would be so good.
People came in uniforms and in 1940's fashions,
the staff at the North Notts Arena had decked
the place out in bunting and flags it was
fantastic!! We danced the night away to the
sound of The Take Two Big Band and also to music
played on C.D. by the great Trust A.M. team.
I hired an American Uniform. Glenn Miller style,
and I felt marvellous!! the 1940s style buffet
was soon eaten up, dripping sandwiches was the
first to go. We had a "Sand Dance" performed
by Claire and John, just like Wilson, Keppel and
Betty, but no Betty, they were hilarious, there
was also a Tommy Cooper tribute act called Tommy COUPON !! People were asking when is
the next one. We'll do our best watch out
for the posters. Thanks to everyone who attended.

Blackshaw.
